I am, and I have been. So I shot a video about it… plus created some tips for parents who have kids that are being bullied.
If you put yourself out there- like this, as a fitness and healthy living blogger, some say we are “asking” for it. Have you been bullied? I have. From playground to cyber bullying, it might not stop, but you can take steps to become stronger and more resilient to the sting- no matter how old or young you are.

Judgement. Bullying Happens to Everyone… including me. To all of you amazing people out there who put yourself out on YouTube, Tumblr, Twitter, and your websites- thank you for being strong and being your authentic self. I know there are a lot of haters who for some reason choose to put us down and, on occasion, moments of weakness take over and it hurts. But stay strong and carry on! I posted this video last night after a rollercoaster day of comments, and the response was so unbelievably supportive that I wanted to share it with all of you. Because you all deserve to read it and know that you are very loved and appreciated too.

I am so glad that Sarah addressed this! It has happened to me too. I have a QuickieChick channel on YouTube where I post lots of quick workouts- including Quickie Workouts in Bed (they have sexy names, but they are seriously effective and great no-excuse workouts). Every once in a while I will get a comment like this:
“ur fat”
Short and stinging.
Just like Sarah, I’m a real chick. I have ups and downs, my body fluctuates, I love sweets and sometimes I eat too much of them. But that’s one of the reasons I choose to exercise daily- so I CAN eat those things and indulge once in a while. I’m not interested in being uber-skinny. I love food and I don’t feel it’s healthy to deprive myself just to be “skinny.” But sometimes words really do hurt.

Why Am I Still Chunky?
Please click on this link. I think it is really important to support Sarah here. I don’t religiously follow her blog like I do with others - but she makes a valid point and I hate when people hate on each other :(

So who am I? I’m Laurel House - your QuickieChick, and I’m a real 34-year old chick. Yes, we all know what a “quickie” is, but this is more than that; it’s a lifestyle. Just as “quickies” are fun, exciting, sometimes unconventional, efficient, sexy, in the moment, and always (or almost always) instantly gratifying… so are LifeQuickies. These aren’t long overdrawn processes that require prep-work, expensive equipment, patience and perseverance. They are right now, getting the most out of every moment. Oh, and it’s all done on a budget (because you don’t need to be wined, dined and stay in a 5 star hotel to have a quickie… do you?). Really, there’s a Quickie solution for anything life throws your way. These are my personal DailyQuickies... because "I' don't have time" is no longer an excuse. There's always time for a Quickie...
